How to change a company’s language

Basecamp lets you change the language for an entire company. For example, if you're in the US working with clients in Italy, you can set up Basecamp to display in Italian for your client.

First, click on the “All People” tab. This will list all of the people and companies that are currently in Basecamp.

Next find the company that should see Basecamp in Italian. Click "Edit".

Select Italian from the drop-down menu and save changes. Basecamp’s interface will now be shown in Italian for everyone in that company.

How to change your language

Basecamp also lets you change your own language (separate from the company). So, for example, if you're an American contractor in Spain, you can display Basecamp in English while everyone else sees it in Spanish.

First, click on the “My info” link. Here you’ll see your Basecamp contact information and a link to edit your personal information.

Next click on the “Edit your personal information” link in the blue bar at the top of the page.

Select English (or your own preferred language) from the drop-down menu and save changes. You'll now see Basecamp in that language.

Translations may not be perfect — we’re still working on it. If you spot a missing translation, or something that could be better translated, please post it to the translation mailing list.
